About The Artwork
This is a 35mm colour negative film photography shot in London in 2017. It is part of a series called ' Lost Negative' I like to work on series as in the majority of my work you can see here. I am investigating the possibility of the mistake and of the unexpected that can happen with film photography since we cannot see the work till it is developed. The error, the unexpected, the mistake became in my investigation of the work itself, and the capacity to look for the beauty in the discarded element. The chemicals that are involved with analogue photography play a vital role in my projects as I use the very first frames to give myself the chance to look for the mistake, for the light burning the fame affecting the images It is indeed called 'Lost Negative' as in the majority of the cases the first frames are damaged by the light and I shot without knowing what it will be.
