This is a hybrid of photography, printmaking and watercolor painting. Flowers and plants which were dipped in salt water painted their shapes onto the paper with the help of cyanotype chemicals and the sun. Working with wet cyanotype chemicals (rather than paper coated with the light-sensitive chemicals which has first dried) creates a watery blurred effect. Wetting fingers and flinging the saltwater on the paper while it was being exposed created the mottled drippy starry sky effect.
