Beuys viewed gold as a symbol of spirituality and creativity, and it is these concepts that come alive in the series. The women's mouths are enveloped in gold, making them a radiant focus of the composition. They invoke associations with the golden apple of Discordia and the myth of King Midas, two classic stories that tackle the duality of seduction and destruction by gold. This contrast is intensified by the women's mouths, representing both a source of communication and a symbol of seduction. These works are a subtle meditation on the power of gold, both in its material and its metaphorical significance.

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

The focus of ARTURUTRA is mouths. Yet these fragmented bodies do not conform to classical portraits. They often resemble staged still lifes. The works are characterized by a narrative ambiguity. The viewer sees and must fill in the missing elements themselves. Perhaps they view with the eyes constantly absent in the works. Then, the depicted mouths speak with the inner voice of the observer.
