It connects the sensuality of the mouth with the rawness of the meat and the artificiality of the silicone. The use of minced meat could be interpreted as a metaphor for consumption and the transience of life, while the delicate pink of the young woman symbolizes innocence and youth. The transparent silicone surrounding the mouth could be seen as a shield or barrier separating the woman from the outside world. From an art historical perspective, the piece recalls the provocative depictions of Surrealism. Psychologically, it confronts the viewer with questions about identity, desire, and the duality of beauty and decay.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

The focus of ARTURUTRA is mouths. Yet these fragmented bodies do not conform to classical portraits. They often resemble staged still lifes. The works are characterized by a narrative ambiguity. The viewer sees and must fill in the missing elements themselves. Perhaps they view with the eyes constantly absent in the works. Then, the depicted mouths speak with the inner voice of the observer.
