Here, we encounter a motif that offers a fascinating dialogue between the opposites of human and animal, softness and hardness, life and silence. This work recalls Meret Oppenheim's surrealist masterpiece "Le Bateau-Lit", in which a nude woman transforms her body into a bowl to carry a fish. Here too, the motif of the fish is subtly manipulated to create a suggestive and provocative atmosphere. The lips, a symbol of seduction and expression, become the harbor of exotic life, pointing to a deeply human longing for connection with organic and instinctive life. The combination of intimacy and exoticism, humanity and animality, forms a captivating dichotomy that invites the viewer to deep contemplation of themes such as identity, femininity, and the complex relationship between human and nature.

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

The focus of ARTURUTRA is mouths. Yet these fragmented bodies do not conform to classical portraits. They often resemble staged still lifes. The works are characterized by a narrative ambiguity. The viewer sees and must fill in the missing elements themselves. Perhaps they view with the eyes constantly absent in the works. Then, the depicted mouths speak with the inner voice of the observer.
