The system, as it is, gives each of us a "personal number". Work "Measuring" is being produced in a specified period of time (during one class of drawing), with the actual history of one body (a model who was paid to pose at drawing class). The camera follows, enveloping the body with a tailor’s meter, from head to toe, with the focus on a spot where the meter touches the skin. Measuring units that are repeating constantly accent a monotonous rhythm. In this way, the person loses her identity in numbers, but not the shape of her body. The thin plastic meter closes the pores on her skin, creating the feeling of inconvenience and tension. This "imprecise measuring" tends to illustrate society as a product of a continuously eugenic politic, a simulacrum of contemporary society, and arbitrary of the meaning of the values within. The body becomes the biomass marked with numbers. In a so-called information based society, we have too much detailed information about everything, but, without sense, information becomes extraneous, which leads to dehumanization, and opens up a question of identity.
