Michael Darvell Photograph

Born in Barcelona on June 17, 1986. In a town called La Floresta, has always been passionate about photography and have used the camera for times that are inspiring. It is in London where he began to develop new forms and ideas in photography. In 2007 makes a pre-university course at the London College of Communication creating a portfolio that will give you access to the career of photography ("BA Honours in Photography") at Middlesex University. In this period when experimenting with different formats of cameras to discover in the large format an accurate tool with shocking results. The search for strong images headed him to the portraiture, in which the interaction with the subjects it reflects questions and ideas. In a world saturated by images of pain, tracks the beauty in it to convey a reality. This sensitivity to the suffering and social problems their vocation to travel mark to show situations that other media would not cover. Despite his youth and still short career he has participated in group exhibitions in galleries in London and the Truman Gallery, Parlour Gallery and The Print Space Gallery. Photographic competition finalist was selected from among the finalists as a photographer of the year in the Guardian Student Media Awards 2011 and The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2011, which has allowed his work was exhibited at the prestigious National Portrait Gallery in London. His photographic work has been published in the Sunday Times Magazine Spectrum Magazine and Aesthetica Aesthetica Creative Works Annual 2012. In Spain some of his works have appeared in press (ABC). Bernat is currently exhibiting a project called "Memories wounded. Bodies reveled, itineraries against the forgot Polio and Post-polio syndrome in Spain". A project of Juan Antonio Rodriguez Sanchez teacher and researcher of the University of Salamanca together with the photograph Bernat Millet, exhibited at "Espacio de Cultura Cientifica" curated by University of Salamanca, in Spain of 2012. This project is the result of a search inside the deepest feelings, knowing that good photographs come from the heart and reflect our passions and emotions to what surrounds us. This work is the culmination of the force between a mother who opened the door to his son who was looking for a way to reflect these feelings to the world.
