Art Description

Photography: Color, Digital on Paper.

The monarch sone of the few butterflies that is found in many countries around the world. They are very strong flyers, and unlike most butterflies, they live for many months. This monarch was found in Yosemite National Park. US Monarchs migrate either to the Pacific Coast oe Mexico for the winter and their offspring return each spring. The monarch's larva can only live on the Milkweed plant which is now in danger due to agricultural spraying of herbicides. The US population has gone down by around 90% in the last few years.Enjoy these beauties while they are still here.
