This photo is from a photo project by Sasha Bauer. It expresses the complexity of the world in which we live. This project is dedicated to the history of the Volga Germans in Russia. In 1941, the Germans were deported, many were sent to labor camps and unjustly arrested. Among them was my grandfather. After the deportation, my grandfather lost his family at the age of 7 and ended up in an orphanage, not knowing Russian. He lived difficult life, and I was named after my grandfather. The project "Sasha Bauer" has become a finalist of the international professional competition Sony World Photography Awards 2021. Works from this project will be presented at an exhibition in London. The prints are museum-quality, archival pigment prints on high-end fiber-based papers and are printed in limited editions. They are shipped with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. Available in other sizes: 30х40 300 $ 40х60 400 $ For other custom sizes, please reach out to curator@saatchiart.com Thank you!
