New Years eve 2015/16 coincided with an Aurora Australis due to illuminate the southern skies from New Zealand. Banks Peninsula, which cradles Christchurch was illuminated with the last rays of light on the most perfect summer's evening. This is the 2nd of 2 images with the 1std being the final light of the New Years Even 2015 only 4 hours earlier
