ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This series came about whilst sitting in traffic and examining the backs og various trucks, that filled my field of vision. The dusty surfaces reminded me of charcoal drawing dust. I started to see that each truck has its own character. The trucks in the series represent the major industries in the area where I live: Rocks, Oil and Farming. There are two trucks from each category. Each truck has been removed from its background and placed on a single pure colour. In my photography I try to present the beauty in the everyday. Asking the viewer to appreciate what he or she might otherwise overlook. Sometimes we can find beauty in the most unexpected of places.
