About The Artwork

I was opening an old but never opened 1 quart can of red enamel oil paint and noticed the oil and pigment were separated over time. I took a mixing stick and gently started mixing the red pigment upwards and around a bit.It was a strange mix of clear oil and red pigment. Then some weird shapes appeared and the oil and pigment were swirling by itself. I saw the start of this whale and figured I better run and grab my camera. When I got my camera I figured I should get as much light in the can as possible so I took and placed the can in the middle of the lawn in the bright sun light. I zoomed in a bit and started taking pictures as the oil was swirling around all this time- it would change every second. This is the picture that was there for a second or two and then gone forever. Bye the time I took the next picture, about 10 seconds the picture had changed. After the pictures were gone I mixed the paint a few more times and took some more very unique photos. This will probably be a collection of about 6 pics. One strange thing about this pic is that the paint was blood red and the orange color was from the suns rays through the oil The air bubble in the whales eye is another nice spot that just happened.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

This artist has had an early start at drawing and painting mainly because his father was a hand painted commercial signwriter and master gold leaf letterer. At age 13 I began oil paintings with an easel, new brushes and oil paints. Through the school years I have worked with pencil, charcoal, watercolors, pen and ink, acrylics and oils. Later the addition of airbrushes, gold leaf and sandblasting wood & glass have added to the artwork collection. The newest paintings are a decoupage style [ wet on wet and layered ] that is a little bit different and sometimes very wild. I enjoy painting mountains and water, faces, animals, abstracts and space pictures. Photography is another big hobby and I always try to get as many local country western and wildlife pictures as I can before old barns or buildings actually fall down or the landscape changes.
