ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The modern roof structure of Oriente Station in Lisbon, Portugal, designed by Catalan architect Santiago Calatrava, is inspiring. Upon landing at this station, I was soon looking for an interesting angle to photograph it. So I opted for something symmetrical and that exalts depth. Lo and behold, the result pleased me greatly.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
