Ships in a Tube
The invention of steel during the industrial revolution greatly aided tank production in World War II. Carrie Furnace I & II were Andrew Carnegie’s two prized steel mills in Pittsburgh. This single factory out produced the whole country of Great Britain, and served as a great asset for the allies. Today, the steel that built the furnaces falls to the foliage that is indigenous to the site.
