About The Artwork

When most people talk about Oregon they mean the Oregon coast or Portland, maybe Mount Hood or the new recreation Mecca of Bend. For me, the real Oregon is everything east of the Cascade Mountains. The Alvord Desert, Painted Hills, John Day, Owyhee, Steens Mountain. These are the places that draw me, the open spaces full of subtle colors and uncommon textures. Forgotten hills and lost towns; they invite exploration and reflection. This photo is printed on aluminum and is ready to hang. No framing is necessary. The print has a matte finish. If you are interested in a different size or medium, please contact me for options and pricing. Please note: Photos are printed on-demand and may require additional time for proper authentication and shipping procedures.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Taken in the American West during thirty years of fieldwork, images in The Road not Taken Enough cross landscapes and time, the eternal and ephemeral. The location is unimportant; there is presence in every landscape and value in places most people will never see and do not know. Experiencing remote and wild places creates awareness of what we stand to lose in our changing climate, burgeoning population, and extreme extraction economies. In sharing these images, my desire is to connect more people to the natural world. Living in a remote, rapidly changing place, we know that everyday actions have an impact far beyond our immediate surroundings. Naming the locations is less important than understanding that these places matter to the well-being of all.
