March 2020, Dorset, on a wet and windy day. Looking out over Weymouth Bay towards the Isle of Portland, I wanted to capture the wildness of the winter weather. Half an hour before I took the shot it had been bright sunshine albeit very cold and windy. A spectacular storm passed across the bay and obscuring the view of Portland altogether. When the storm moved further to the east, I took the shot as the bright sunshine returned on the now still waters of Weymouth Bay. The colours remain unaltered from the camera image - the storm drained the view of any colour. Printed to the highest quality on museum heritage 310gsm thick art grade ivory textured paper.

Since owning my first camera (Polaroid's The Button Camera) at the age of 7, I have always been intrigued and passionate about the art of photography. From turning the loft in the family home into a makeshift darkroom to process my own prints to buying my first digital camera, photography has always played a big role in my life. Inspired by the nature surrounding us all, from epic skies and vast oceans to miniscule drops of dew caught in spiderwebs, I use photography to tell stories of this natural world - beautiful, intimidating, brutal, strange - and our relationships to it. Photography is my way of manipulating time - enabling me to show people the precise micro-second in which a bubble bursts as well as illustrating the trails left by anicent stars as the world turns. Since 2012, I have been selling my work online and through a number of licensing agencies. I have written numerous online tutorials and magazine articles to help others with photography and have had my work featured in several leading photography magazines in the UK and India. I have won several photographic awards and have received numerous commendations on my work.
