Art Description

Photography: C-type, Black & White, Digital on Cardboard, Paper.

the relationships between men and women, married couples, based on my own experience was the main motive of making a photo series due to social and geographical location. Putting myself in the traditional dress and using the sulfur bath as an interior, unconsciously Ive framed the situation which later had followed me nearly ten years. The black door in the middle of the photos symbolically dividing female and male natures marked the two humans misunderstanding and difference. Such a setting on my works consequently had reflected on my own life, illustrating it as in the photo serials. I was compromising and hiding my own desires as an artist and as a woman.
