Commissioned before 9/11 by the Port Authority of New York, these superimposed images suggest a non-linear narrative of change, motion, transportation, and interconnection. It uses, as a starting point in the montage, archival photos of the construction of the first World Trade Center from the 1960's. This work is being considered for possible relocation to Ground Zero.

American. Born and raised in New York City. Susan Kaprov is a multi-media artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She has traveled extensively abroad, living in Amsterdam for two years while completing major commissions and installations throughout Europe. Her background and interest in science is manifested in her works' vigorous spirit of inquiry. Kaprov creates her work through a system "assignments", i.e., concept-driven ideas that she explores in depth within a series of closely related works. She strives to attain a definitive visual richness, luminosity of color, and emotional resonance that communicates to wide audience. Kaprov's artworks are in major museum, university, and private collections worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art, NY, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, the Yale University Art Gallery, the Harvard Medical School, Cambridge, MA, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, CA, and the Library of Congress, Washington DC, among many others.
