About The Artwork

I offer this work with the following fame options, oak, black oak and white oak. Alternatively, it can be mounted ''floating'' on a Dibond back with an aluminium frame, a minimalistic look very flat 2,5 cm deep. Finally, I offer to send the print unframed in a tube for convenience. . Red Lust, Kodak Metallic, C-Type Print, Hight 190.5Cm x Width 127Cm . The work was a part of an exhibition in July 2013 "Conducting The Light" The exhibition, was hosted at Mead Carney Gallery, Dover Street London. This work is one out of a series of four, red, blue, purple & pink. I Created This work as a part of a pitch for a beauty campaign, at the time around 2007, I spontaneously named the work lust as a working title because of the seducing and lush colours of the lips, only to discover later how well it described the work. The narrative of this work raises the question of whether lust, to some extent, has replaced love and awareness in many societies today. Social media have a role to play here as well. This work is a part of a broader work topic that I call ‘’The changing of the human condition‘’.

As an artist and photographer with over 30 years of experience, I have found that my passion lies in expressing my emotions through art and photography. Through deep self-reflection and meditation, I have gained a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me. The practices of self-reflection and meditation have had a profound impact on my artistic practice. I strive to embody the idea of living in the present moment in daily life and my art. Creating art is an opportunity to fully immerse me in the present moment and explore the beauty and complexity of the world. I have also experimented with different ways of expressing myself artistically and worked with various media and materials, such as video production, spin painting with acrylic paint, acrylic painting on photography, screen printing on paper, diamond dust printing, and photographic printing on wood. In my life, I have travelled extensively, more recently to the United States, Spain, and Patagonia in Argentina and Chile. I aim to investigate and have a creative process that reflects my inner state, emotions, and visions. I hope to continue to gain a deeper understanding of myself and the world through my art and to share this understanding with others. In my practice as an artist, I create episodes or stories from what I would describe as a meditative state and focus on the present moment. The process can take me anywhere from weeks to hours or days. The result is works that visually represent my connection and intuition at that specific moment. There may not always be an obvious or coherent connection between the visual expressions, and they can reflect both my objective and subjective experience at the time. My work often ranges from a very colourful and bright image to a very muted and dark mood, depending on my connection and intuition at the moment of creation. I have extensive experience in editorial and commercial photography, particularly in portrait, beauty, people, and landscape photography. I have had the privilege of working with leading editorial magazines such as Elle, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Tank, Big Show, and many more, as well as international haute couture, fashion, beauty, perfume, jewellery, and advertising clients.
