Experimenting in the darkroom with the placement of various florals, a single exposure captures a moment in time onto a sheet of photographic paper. The translucency of the flowers lends itself to the technique of the photogram, where silhouettes are captured photo-realistically. The softness of the petals relates to the temporal whilst the stark contrast of whites against grey, locks their etherealness into a place in time and space called the Twilight Zone. This is the second image in a series of three, where a narrative takes place, captured by the title of each image: Contained, Release, Freedom. The photogram is printed on Hahnemuhle photo rag archival paper, 308gsm, 100% cotton, acid free, smooth matt. The image size is 50 x 65 cm. It is hand-signed on the back of the print with the certificate of authenticity included. It will be shipped unframed, rolled securely inside a shipping tube.
