S-Curve - Limited Edition of 5 Photograph

Originally photographed in 1974 while working toward my Master of Fine Arts degree in photography, the subject is flowing water and rocks in a mountain stream. A long exposure made the water appear misty, creating a contrast of textures between the rocks and water. The image was made with a medium format film camera, which provided extreme detail. I developed the film and made one 8X10 gelatin silver print. and one 16X20 gelatin silver print in the darkroom. This print is from a new edition of 5 created from a high resolution scan of the negative and printed on Epson Exhibition Fiber paper on a professional Epson printer, using archival pigment inks with a longevity of over 300 years. It looks exactly like the gelatin silver print and is in some ways better because through digital means, it is possible to remove tiny defects and precisely control local brightnesses. The paper measures 22" X17". There is a border of 1" on the left and right, and a border of 1.62" on the top and bottom. It is signed and dated in archival pen on the bottom right. It is titled and numbered on the lower left in archival pen. On the reverse is my thumb print with my initials. I am now 71, healthy, and going strong. This is one of my favorite images. I have limited the edition to 5 to make available to only a few collectors. On the front of the print, I have put the date of creation of the image. On the reverse is the date of printing of this print.
