Printed on Chromalux Sub-dye Metal print. This collages is based on a photographs I took and then manipulated, creating amalgams of different places from around the globe: Salone del Mobile, Maldives. The atmosphere pervading this work is optimistic and surreal. The images were culled from my memories, and the work is based on my personal photograph album. In this manner, I've created a disordered archive in which Worlds Unite – Africa, Asia, and Europe, East and West, interior and exterior. These worlds are filled with joy, worlds of plenitude in which there are no wars or lack of any kind. My images capture an emotional experience and sense of enchantment with the unfolding events, creating an immersion in the aesthetic experience despite the distance from the situation itself. This work is the product of a fantasy predicated upon reality. It was carefully planned and assembled in a gradual and self-assured manner.
