Based on interviews and stories from the life of one woman, including a newspaper article of her flying a plane as a teenager and tales of her family, the piece symbolises the freedom gained by breaking with convention. Olivia Hemingway's work has been published and exhibited internationally. For this image she used a Hasselblad camera to capture the exquisite detail of the subject.
