About The Artwork
The origin of this artwork is a photo taken in Hiroshima, showing the Atomic Bomb Dome. The camera I used for taking the photo is a Nikon F-301. The original photo was taken as a photo slide. After having digitalised the original photo slide, I modified the slide by using a photo-editing programme. By manipulating the original photo slide and by modifying it in red, black and grey colours this artwork intends to visualise the incomprehensibility of this place.

Being outside in nature is a great source of inspiration, and the photos taken during trips are the basics that I transform into paintings in my studio. My acrylic or oil paintings feature sceneries of the real world in a figurative, realistic style. The main element that continues to fascinate me is the colour blue in all its possible facets and shades. It is a fundamental element in almost all of my paintings. My aim is to capture on canvas the emotions hidden behind the sceneries and to inspire the viewer to immerse into the light and atmosphere of this very special moment.
