About The Artwork
"Solarisation" This striking fashion inspired experimental figurative painting will add a statement to your interior. Inspired by digital technologies such as moving image and slow motion, this fashion painting morphs elements of photography, digital art and painting. It represents at the same time a piece of my fashion collection during my fashion design studies The artwork is created manually and digitally with design software, acrylic and iridescent medium. Depending on the incidence of light, the colours seem to change and to move. The picture is a hybrid of digital and experimental painting techniques. Colours: Black and white tones, featured by lustrous and shimmering colours such as jade, light green, soft turquoise, pastel shades Media: Digital art, acrylics, iridescent colours on alu dibond board 2 mm, with aluminium subframe Original Art Through the subframe on the backside of the artwork the hanging system is hidden which provides a floating effect of the picture. A cutting edge draughtswoman and highly acclaimed in her field, Elisabeth Grosse aka Lizita is an artist, fashion and graphic designer who has worked with top designers such as Alexander McQueen and Matthew Williamson. Whilst studying fashion design at the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld in Germany, her artworks were showcased in several publications. Born in Meissen in Germany and coming from a family of artists, she loved to draw since her childhood which broadened her talent. During her fashion design studies she discovered her passion for the creation of figurative illustrations and abstract portraits. Focussed on the face, it is her fascination to capture the moment of emotiveness and to create a crossover of the archaic and the presence. Her works are developed in several stages, it is a journey and development starting from a pencil sketch, leading to a scenic storytelling momentum. The synergy of manual and digital drawing techniques creates a multi-layered communication between her artworks, which bear witness to a high emotional expressiveness. Her works represent a hybrid of art and fashion.
