Spawn Photograph

This is a limited edition of 15, signed, artist-printed piece on museum-grade Optica One cotton Fiber paper. None of my work is photo-shopped. This and other similar "light-painting" works are produced solely at the time of exposure using experimental techniques in long-exposure photography with tools and items that emit light or can be lit up during a long exposure. Spawn reminds me of some sort of an invasive alien worm-like species in a bleak yet beautiful end-of-world landscape scene. It's amazing what you can do with a single light-up pool tube ! This is a big bold photo that has been displayed in many juried photo shows. It is a show winner in fact. It was taken at around 1am in a wash near Palm Springs, CA. This is roughly a 4 minute exposure. I am in the photo but invisible due to movement in minimal light.
