Art Description

Photography: C-type, Color on Paper.

Growing up in semi rural Bittern on the Western port side of the Mornington Peninsula things cold be a little isolating. Not as far from the city that there was no transport, but it was so infrequent that you could spend most of your day trying to get anywhere. As the years have passed I have moved away the Vline train continues on but has gotten smaller and smaller.

When driving from my parents house I was stopped at the rail crossing to let the Vline passed. I grabbed my Olympus OM1 from my bag and two two quick frames. This was the better of the two.
The tones make you feel the summer vibes of regional, dry Australia and the movement of the train makes me think of my teenage self desperate to speed away from the area and start my life in the city.
