About The Artwork

60cm x 60cm still-life photography Signed limited edition of 15 Archival Giclee print Hahnemule cotton rag fine art paper The Spheres are created using a technique I developed with mirrored surfaces - without any digital effects or filters. The 3D effect draws the eye in to a deeper emotional journey. The arrangements consist of carefully selected natural elements. 'Storyspheres' represent nostalgic and emotive aspects of fairytales. I am inspired by Victorian circular art, the colour pallets of both Pre-Raphaelite and the Dutch Masters still-life paintings. I use a specially chosen fine-art paper which further adds to the painterly aspect of the image.

After working with moving image during my 15 year  career in Broadcast TV and also making short documentary films under my own Production Company - I have returned to my first love - the still image.  The arrangements consist of carefully selected natural elements. The Spheres are created using a technique I developed using mirrored surfaces without using digital manipulation or filters. The reflections and 3D effect draws the eye in to a deeper emotional journey. The arrangements consist of carefully selected natural elements. I am inspired by Victorian circular art, the colour pallets of both Pre-Raphaelite and the Dutch Masters still-life paintings. The 'Rosebowl 'collection reflects the differing and shifting emotional aspects of romantic attachment. The 'Sistersphere' series encompass visually the sense of women or girls known to me and the 'Storyspheres' represent nostalgic and emotive aspects of traditional fairytales. I am a founding member of the North London Photographic Society and am London-based for half the year, the rest of  my time is spent in the French Pyrenees.
