This is a digital composite image, made by digitally blending together many individual images to create a wide sweeping view of great detail and richness of tone. The beauty of early morning, with one of London’s most recognizable landmarks, Tower Bridge. The skyscrapers of Canary Wharf are visible at left in the distance, and on the right is the London Bridge Hospital and London Bridge Pier. I took this early one morning on a winter's day. I had arrived early in anticipation of a lovely sunrise spectacle, and I was not disappointed. The thin wisps of clouds high in the sky were illuminated in red as the glow on the horizon turned from pink to orange to bright yellow. I captured this image just as the myriads of lights in the windows of the buildings matched the tone and intensity of the sky, which is the key to a good sunrise or sunset cityscape. This fleeting moment only lasts for a minute or two however! This is a limited edition print available also in larger sizes. The total number of prints in all dimensions will be limited to 100.
