About The Artwork
The Changing of the Guards in Athens, Greece.Their uniform of the Presidential Guard has a historical meaning. It refers to the uniform of the Kleftes and Armatoloi, two groups of Greek warriors during the War of Independence i(1821) against the Ottomans. In fact, the white skirt of the uniform has 400 folds to represent the 400 years of Ottoman occupation over the Greeks. Printed on matte paper with satinate laminate finish that keeps and protects the image of stains and scratches and provides UV protection , giving a spectacular finish .Printed with a white margin of 5 mm around the photo. Edition limited to 5 pieces. All artworks are numbered and signed.
