This photography is a part of the exhibition "Earth, do you hurt" (2021, Latvia). "Hello, human. My name is Krists and I am a waste. As a waste producing machine, I have been on this planet Earth for 38 years. According to statistics on average, I produce half a ton of waste a year. Yes, that's exactly how much waste we each throw away. Are we going to stop? If we continue at this pace - our children and grandchildren will swing between the mountains of rubbish, we will swim in shit and we will be happy if we can swim at all. It is important to stop now. It is even more important to realize that forests, sea, air and nature in all its glory were on earth long before us and will always be there, the question is – in what condition. Earth, what will you look like in decades? Are you covered in mountains of garbage? Unfortunately, we know the answer - we are just afraid to admit it. I suggest we act and stop being afraid? Let's start with ourselves! Maybe then we won't be ashamed to look our children in the eye? Act now, don't be a waste." This photo work is printed on ART class Baryta type paper.
