"The Ghost" - from the series Riding With the Wind Photograph - Limited Edition of 7

Tightrope artists from Uzbekistan perform their magic show in the air, freely walking some 12 meter above the ground. Third performer - a lady, is literally flying in the air, disappearing for the moment in front of my camera. It was shot during my art residence in Budapest State Circus where I lived and photographed the show and performers each day. This art residence is "my dream come true" story. The magic of the circus I remember when I was a little girl, was still there. It's live and vivid especially when you can see it from the "inside". This tremendous experience ended up with around 40 selected photographs of the show and around 25 black and white portraits of the performers. All photographs were shot on film, some on 35 mm, some on 120 mm with my Yashica G124 Mat. Portraits were shot in 6x9 cm negative with Linhof large format camera. Both series were exhibited in October 2023. at the Art Market Budapest in Hungary. As well, some circus portraits were exhibited in Belgrade in the gallery Viline Vode, at the jubilee - 30 years of the gallery Zvono in Belgrade, Serbia.
