the outside world Photograph - Limited Edition of 5

This year I've been working on a new series about what to preserve. I took a poetic point of view and tried to get a grip on what the future will hold by looking at our history. I felt like a very tiny part of a big chain. This photo was taken in a botanical garden in Eastern Europe. The plants that are preserved in the greenhouse are damaged on the other side of the world at the same time. At that moment was 70 degrees inside and 5 degrees outside. I work with analogue photography and handprint the photo in a photolab in Amsterdam. The photo is mounted on aluminum with a frame, and has UV-coating.
