About The Artwork
While photographing in Death Valley, California one January, I stopped at Zabriskie Point to take a few images of the crenelated topography and stark beauty of this magical place. I found a photographer with an old view camera out on a rock, with his head under the cloth, composing an image on the ground glass. It struck me that this scene is somewhat ageless as photographers have been doing this sort of thing for as long as there have been cameras and tripods.
