About The Artwork

One summer's day, I went out with my dog to photograph the Rabbit Man for my book "men and there animals". A large property, chickens and rabbits. Life was just too good, even if it wasn't possible to work according to plan in this chaos; Mr Rosemann, my young Saluki, raced around us, attacked us from behind and had to be kept from chasing the chickens and eating the rabbits again and again. It was absolute chaos. And Karlheinz Schmidt? He sits down on a wooden crate with the bunny in his arms. The little fellow bites his finger, he laughs, and I am given the picture that is my favourite and warmest of all in this book.
