About The Artwork
This project 'The She In It' is about the representation of femininity, my way of seeing it and how I feel about it. I wanted the photographs to look funny/cartoonish or even sarcastic in a way and I hope the viewers will feel the same way by looking at the photographs. The reason I chose to photograph luxury jewellery together with the domestic and cooking objects is because I wanted to combine unrelated objects in one image to show how relevant they actually are.

Kseniya Piatrova is an Eastern European Fine Art and Fashion photographer. She was born in Belarus and was brought up in a dynamic and urban environment in the United Kingdom. She became interested in photography after she studied Fine Art in high school. Her photography work evolved from black and white to colour and it includes studio photographs, portraiture, still life, lifestyle and beauty. Her interest is in combining staged, documentary and fashion photography in one image with a hint of surrealism.
