Inspired by classical nudes, a modern depiction of the temptation of Saint Sebastian to sexually submit to his Roman captor. Saint Sebastián was Christian who refused to sleep with a pagan. Filmmaker Derek Jarman made film about Sebastian in the 80's that popularized the historical figure as the unofficial patron saint of gay men, It is also a depiction of a recent bout of mania and an attempt to not engage in destructive behaviors and rituals.
