ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was walking through downtown São Paulo, Brazil, when I saw this building, which is a beautiful example of Brazilian modernist architecture. So I soon thought of making a photograph that would highlight the horizontal lines of the façade that, in this case, appear diagonally because they are in perspective. I found the result interesting and I believe that those who appreciate architecture and geometric images will agree with me.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
