About The Artwork
Color photograph of Adirondak Scenic RR train at the Thendara station, New York State. The image is printed with pigment ink on photographic paper, signed by the artist. R. Wallace Wilson grew up on Railroad Street. As a youth, she had the misfortune of witnessing two train accidents, one involving the death of her father. She moved to Los Angeles where her shooting partner in school was a rail fan who introduced her to train chasing. Additionally, she learned that her great grandfather's two brothers worked on the transcontinental railroad. Trains are an unavoidable part of her history. Later in life, she bought the house on Railroad Street and moved back in.
