Through the window at terminal 5, a study in grey and yellow Photograph

The essence of photography for me is that it captures a moment in time, and my eye is particularly drawn to instances of familiar locations looking a little different, or with something unusual happening. I’m interested by things that seem slightly out of place, and by serendipitous patterns. My photos often have a sense of human or other animal interaction – messages or signs left behind, or things constructed. People in my photos are usually peripheral, and incidental to the composition. I was born in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, spent ten years in Manchester, and for the past twenty years have lived near Reading, in Berkshire.
