Vintage photo Gelatin silver print "To Volga river ". Astrakhan, 1986 From the author: Pavel Prosyanov ( b.1958 ) Summer in the southern city of Russia - Astrakhan Children take the shortest road to the Volga river to swim in the river. They cross the road, as usual (in the place where crossing the road is prohibited). They are small, and instinctively realize that they can do everything, and nobody will punish them for it. Children of the Soviet era, most of the time n, spent the summer on the Volga (without parents), and this was the norm of behavior. Now the children are looked after by their parents more Style: I always liked the photos of Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Doisneau... Description: This photo looks better in the original than in the listing. The photo is printed in a dark room, and retouched by the author. The photo was printed in a dark room, both for a photo exhibition, and for archival storage (very good fixation, and a prolonged final rinse in running water) To protect the photo from harmful effects of the environment, we used: • Back side - Expensive сarboard of museum quality (100% Cotton, PH = 0) • Archive yellow ribbon (PH = 0) • Archival quality plastic corners (print holder) • Printed in a dark room on matte paper (cardboard) in the early 90's. • External Framing was done in 2009. • Frame size: 33 x 44 cm ( 12,9"x 17,3 ) • Image Size: 15 x 33 см ( 10" x 12,9" ) • The white frame has slight signs of wear and, if desired, it can be easily replaced with another frame, and the back cardboard and mat can be left.

I started taking photographs and printing photographs in a dark room as a boy since 1970. In early 1979, I was already working as a professional photographer, and parallel, I got carried away with creative photography, I photographed for myself what I like. Most often it is an old town, old houses, details of old architecture, a person in an urban environment, nature. For me, photography is, first of all, Art photography, i.e. photography as an independent work of art. A good photo for me falls into two categories, it is a photo with a meaning, or with a mood. Yes, a photograph without any meaning, but which conveys the mood to us. And great luck when these two qualities are present in one work.
