Just on the outskirts of the village of Treherbert up in the Rhonnda Valley, South Wales, this is the last spot on the trail up into the mountains where you can catch your breath before the going gets hard and you climb up into the company of skylarks and the glorious views towards the Brecons and back down into the valleys. A lovely spot to stop and listen to the water falling down and making its way to join the Rhondda Fawr river and off to the Bristol Channel at Cardiff.
