Trust in the storm - Limited Edition 1 of 5 Photograph

This photos was taken from a helicopter over the grand canyon. After many weeks of planning and committing financially to this photoshoot, it started to rain after taking off. I had a great sense of disappointment that I didn't have the perfect day and began to feel that the trip was going to be a waste of time and money. I did the best I could and tried to remind myself to enjoy the experience despite the bad weather and the unlikelihood of a perfect shot. To my great surprise, I was able to capture this moment where the light was shifting and the clouds where moving all in alignment. the bad weather allowed me the great fortune of experiencing this extreme contrast of weather combining sun, clouds and rain at once. This photo serves as a metaphor to me that life has a plan, and to trust that fate often sends you exactly what you need.
