About The Artwork

40 x 28 - Limited Edition of 15 $620 24 x 16.8 - Limited Edition of 25 $480 20 x 14 - Limited Edition of 35 $340 Twin Tree : This picture was shot in Lake Tahoo, while I was visiting my friends Felix & Kelly. This picture fills me with good memories of my 10 day visit with my dear friends and the day I was lucky enough to make this image. Felix is very much the outdoor type and we both have the same outlook when it comes to nature and the outdoors. So it was no surprise to me that Felix wanted to surprise me by taking me to one of his special places,he took me on a long hiking trek into Tahoo National Forrest. We set off very early in the morning biking it to the forrest, we locked the bikes up and began our trek. I made sure I had my camera loaded with a roll of black & white grainy film. As we was walking through the forrest and its beauty was unfolding before me, I take a few snaps here and there. As we came around this bend the forrest opened up with lots of open space on either side and there before me stood this tree which just looked beautiful to me, especially the way the light fell on it. I then realised it was actually a twin tree, one half flourishing with life and the other side completely bare of any life but still standing tall and somehow still fighting for life. I took a couple of pictures and we then moved on with our trek, it turned out to be a lovely day.

I studied photography in Manchester:
After completing a 3 year photography course at Cholton Park College. I wanted to expand my career in fashion photography, so I moved to London in 1989 and worked as a photographic assistant for Stuart Weston two years, from there I got my first assignment with New Woman magazine and never looked back. In December 1991 looking to advance myself as a fashion photographer, I went on a work adventure living and working in different countries around the world which truly inspired me. I worked and lived in Sidney, Athens, Munich and New York, where I pursued a career mainly in Fashion and Portraiture photography. I then moved back to London in 1999 where I am now based. During my travels, I’ve been exposed to many people and their cultures which has broaden my perspective view of life and has helped me with my creativity.
My main areas of interest are Fashion, Portraiture, Beauty, and Travel. In addition to the Editorials, Commercial and Advertising jobs that I am commissioned to do. There is also my personal work which I don’t really regard as work, it’s more like fine art photography as it allows me to express myself in another creative way and that is something very important and special to me as these pictures are usually taken at the spur of the moment and another way for me to tell a story through imagery. I like the freedom and creative input that I get from photography, and the various people that I get to work with and the different places I get to visit. My main aim in photography is to create something out of nothing and to work closely with my clients and my team to achieve our goals from the beginning to the end of any job or project.
