TWISTED LOVE is a photo series where a group of ten men bare their bodies & souls to create a scene & respond about the concept of love, as captured by the eye of Puerto Rican photographer Zayra . Mo create is a trip through different atmospheres that go from sarcasm, flirtation, the occult, comedy, melancholy, daring and fresh. Mos photographs show the portraits of ten naked mens torsos, each fulfilling a different action, once having the red heart as an object to interact with. Each impactful scene turns into a captivating image full of nostalgic colors and textures that recall the ancient and shattered, showing that situations can go from the tenderness of an embrace to the Machiavellian of burning a heart as a metaphor from the different behaviors and solutions males have towards love.

Zayra Mo is a Puerto Rican artist who has being living in Miami for seven years now. She started in the arts since she was a child. Today she combines her abilities in dance, photography, text, video and design to express her “crazy thoughts” as life’s metaphor. Her contemporary languages of fantasy, game and desire, are composed with powerful colors, fancy dresses, intoxicating places, toys, plants and real characters. In her way, Mo freezes time with these dramatic scenes taking us on a unique journey. At Femme Art Miami, Mo is showing part of the “Self Portraits” photos series taken on 2007, which explores our “freedom” when we are alone. “Self Portraits” is one of the series of “Feminist Project“ that Mo created together with “Wrestling Women”, “Barbie Got a Message” and “The Brides in Escape”. In 2010, Mo created the series Twisted Love Mo took her first photograph when she was 17 years old and her first solo exhibition was “D Mannequin” on 2005 in Miami. Mo’s art has been exhibited in cities such as Miami, New York and Antwerp (Belgium).
