Twisted Photograph - Limited Edition of 250

Bristlecone Pine trees are a species of pine tree that are known for their ability to live for thousands of years. They are found at high elevations in the western United States, primarily in the White Mountains of California, the Snake Range in Nevada, and in Arizona. They are distinguished by their twisted, gnarled trunks and branches, and their deeply furrowed bark. Their wood is extremely dense and resinous, making it resistant to rot and insects, which helps them to live for so long. They are also adapted to survive in harsh, arid environments, where they can survive with very little water. Bristlecone pines are considered to be living fossils, and are some of the oldest living organisms on Earth. This particular tree was photographed in Sedona, Arizona and is captured in large format black and white with the stunning Sedona mountains in the background. When viewed in large format like this, it really is like you are actually there. My photography is very unique. I only shoot large format using a computerized robotic mount that takes the image in a series of tiles that are later joined together to create a super high resolution panorama. The resulting image can be printed at extremely large sizes whilst still maintaining ultimate clarity and detail. This method also allows the image to be distortion free as only the best part of the captured image are used in the final joining resulting in a flawless image. Many people have said that my images are so detailed and vibrant that it is like looking out of a window. This is especially true of a large format print like this that completely immerses you in the scene. To do this piece justice, it is printed on Fujiflex paper - one of the finest photographic papers available.
