Two Women Selling Beer on Venice Blvd - Limited Edition 1 of 25 Photograph

An archival pigment print from a scanned 4x5" film negative I had my eye on the two dinos in the shop window for awhile, and waited for an appropriate billboard to counterpoint. Got a fun billboard, but the window display of the dinos often had the shop light turned off at night. When all planets finally aligned, I took a series of exposures at dusk to get just the right balance between the illumination of the sky, the billboard and the dinos in the shop window. A 4x5 view camera was used, which is a great tool for architectural subjects. This image is included in my self-published book "Small Pieces of Los Angeles briefly Illuminated", and I consider it a real thematic linchpin for the images selected image size is 14 1/8" x 19" on 17 x 22" paper This image is printed on Epson Legacy Platine paper, a satin finish paper that emulates a traditional darkroom paper.
