About The Artwork

has captured on a lovely winter day in Padua, Italy, is heavily influenced by chiaroscuro technique, and owes its -at a certain level- dramatic quality to the particular technique. The view of these old urban structures during sunset, more grandiose than their image in the daylight, instantly seemed to me as conveying a sort of spiritual feeling that both made you aware of your own existence today and its unavoidable end in the future. Yet the image and the feeling also seemed to offer a consolation by underlying that what is important is the journey and the process, and the life itself is the once in a lifetime opportunity whose charm comes from its ephemeral nature. Digital print on photography paper (Frame is not included)

I was born in 1992 into a culturally diverse family from Eastern Europe that has finally settled in Istanbul during the gloomy atmosphere of the 1930s. Thus spent most of my life learning and appreciating diverse cultural and artistic practices. After travels in Turkey and Europe chasing museums, galleries and events and had lived in Italy for a period I am currently based in Istanbul, working as a freelance Content Creator. My work I could say bases on a quotation from an acclaimed Turkish poet, Gülten Akın; "Oh, no one’s got the time to stop’n give thought to fine things". With my practice I am trying to gain the habit of examining those fine things our lives offers each day, to notice and represent the thin lines in between various meanings and 'ways of seeing' (Berger,1972) by experimenting with representation through looking at things from peculiar angles and ascribe visibility to underrated details.
