Ships in a Tube
This is one of a collection of views of this maritime legend. Photographed in 2009 in very calm seas, thus the absence of all but one of the mizen sails. The US Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, was originally commissioned as Horst Wessel by the German Navy in 1936. Following WWII, it was taken as a war prize by the United States and recommissioned as USCGCEagle. The Coast Guard designated it as a training vessel for United States Coast Guard Academy Cadets.

United States
I grew up in the middle of South Carolina, graduated from the University of South Carolina where I discovered a fascination and intrigued with photography. I left South Carolina for Texas where I shared 3 different studios as my client base grew very nicely. Anxious for a new and different challenge I moved my family to New Mexico and opened a commercial studio where I primarily worked with top shelf design studios and advertising agencies for 19 years, before resettling in my current home near Houston. Having been a commercial photographer for more than 30 years, I've created concepts and photographs for corporate annual reports, healthcare advertising and marketing, elite independent schools, as well as industrial clients. During the years when time allowed, I also created personal work, but never really shared it. I've now begun the process of curating the work from my past personal wanderings. I look forward to sharing it.
