Founded in 2007, All Visual Arts is an arts organisation and contemporary arts collection. It is a new hybrid arts enterprise founded by art expert Joe La Placa and CEO of BlueCrest Capital Management Mike Platt. AVA is dedicated to the long term development of their artists: Paul Fryer, Alastair Mackie, Kate MccGwire, Reece Jones, Jonathan Wateridge and Wolfe von Lenkiewicz. Based in modest headquarters in Fitzrovia, All Visual Arts promotes our artists nationally and internationally and curates ambitious exhibitions. We also collaborate with other curators, collectors and gallerists in the presentation and development of solo and group shows. Last October AVA presented "The Age of the Marvellous". It was our first group show and included over 60 pieces by our six artists and other collaborators. Most of our artists have had solo exhibitions since AVA started two years ago. In 2008 All Visual Arts presented Paul Fryers solo exhibition called "Let There Be More Light" in London, and since he shown his Pieta at "Qui a Peur des Artistes?" which was a selection of works from the François Pinault Foundation. He also participated in "32 Pieces: The Art of Chess" in Iceland with Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and another of AVA's artists; Alastair Mackie. Alastair Mackie has participated in the Venice Biennale with the Gervasuti Foundation in 2009, and in the same year has had a solo exhibitions with the David Robert's Foundation; "Not Waving but Drowning" and participated in a collaboration with the Contemporary Art Society at the Economists Plaza called "Mimetes Anon". Reece Jones and Wolfe Lenkiewicz have both had solo shows in London: at the Dickinson Gallery in 2008, and Wolfe went on to have a solo exhibition called "The Descent of Man" in 2009. Both artists are to have solo shows at the Triumph Gallery in Moscow in the year ahead. Jonathan Wateridge and Kate MccGwire are the artists that have most recently joined All Visual Arts. Kate MccGwire is part of group show in London "The Little Shop of Horrors". Jonathan Wateridge has been exhibited in Saatchi's "Newspeak Now: British Art" at the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg and he also has a solo show opening in London in 2010. By promoting the artist's works in this way, AVA acts as a platform for artistic dialogue and invites the public to engage with what we feel are some of the most dynamic and innovative artworks by artists living today.
